09:02 am - Couldn't Make It Up: UN Edition
If you were the United Nations and you had to select one nation to chair a commission on Sustainable Economic Development, would you choose Zimbabwe? A nation engaged in racist expropriation of private property which, as a result, is now suffering food shortages.

Looks like that just happened. So much for the UN's unquestionable moral authority.

10:00 am - The Iguana
By popular demand, I give you - the Iguana.

Lounge Lizard
Canon EOS 30D, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro
1/60 @ f/2.8, ISO 400

I find that whatever Flickr does to resize these pictures for their site seems to darken them more than a little. Not sure why.

11:36 pm - Farm Park, take two
I was standing taking this shot of April enjoying a rubber ring slide when a gentleman walked up to me and said "Are you Fraser?". I laughed and commented that this is becoming a habit...

Ziiing!
Canon EOS 30D, Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS @ 111
1/1000 @ f/11, ISO 640

My interlocutor was David Masters from PyrusMalus. You don't bump into Mac developers every day in Scotland, so it was nice to meet one. I've finished uploading my set from the Farm Park. Why not try out Flickr's new and improved slideshow and have a look through?

This is a shot of the Jumping Pillows I mentioned earlier. That's the small one for kids - the full size pillow is about the size of a five-a-side football pitch. Best fun I've had in ages.

Of the remainder, I particularly like this shot, which I titled A History of Opression:

A History of Opression
Canon EOS 30D, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro
1/320 @ f/5, ISO 640

It's the paw (or hand, perhaps?) of a Ring-Tailed Lemur. The fingers through a fence reminded me of this shot by Jim Nachtwey.
